Along the Path Film

Roma Missions International, the Appalachian Relief Mission, and WhiteFire Productions have teamed up to bring to life a film taking viewers inside the refugee crisis in Eastern Europe…showing American churches the reality behind the sensationalism—and what they can do to help.

Filmed on site at the refugee camp in Harmanli, Bulgaria, Producer David White and Pastor Ron Higson interviewed Syrian refugees fleeing for their lives from the violence wrought by DAESH (ISIS/ISIL). In the film you’ll hear from a few refugees who have only been in Bulgaria for a few months, as well as from a couple who have been there for years–who have gone from being refugees themselves to volunteers helping others.

About ARM

Einstein quote

The Appalachian Relief Mission is dedicated to providing assistance and relief for those in the greater Appalachian region who have suffered from a natural disaster, crisis, or have fallen on hard times. Comprised solely of volunteers who feel a call to help, we are truly neighbors helping neighbors.

We believe the value of service–giving freely of ourselves and our time–is something far too often neglected. For this reason, we embrace the idea of instilling it in our kids from a young age; children of all ages, therefore, are welcome additions to parents volunteering with ARM. Please, don’t get them a babysitter–show them what it is to care, to help, and to sacrifice.

Founded in 2014, ARM is an organization run on faith but open to all. Our mission is to help, to give, to serve. We are an ARM outstretched.
